Southern Oregon and the Rogue Valley offer many exciting adventures, venues and merchants. Here are
just a few of our friends and neighbors:
Photo Den (www.photoden.com) is my provider of choice for all things photographic! Visit them in down-
town Grants Pass or visit them online. I find their staff friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!
For DJ service, sound reinforcement, great personality and a really good time, call on Sights and Sounds
Unlimited (ssounds.com). Jes Webb is a good friend and one of the best in the business for DJ, Master
of Ceremonies, and exceptional sound! If the song exists, he has it. Visit his website, then tell him Mick’s
Photography sent you :)
Here are six really great places to hold a wedding! We’ve photographed weddings at each
location and can highly recommend all of them...

•
R-Haus in Grants Pass.
Dan and Carol don’t have a
website, but a lot of the photos in both wedding galleries
were taken there, and are labeled that way. Call them at
541-474-3335. Did I mention R-Haus is right on the
Rogue River?? We do a lot of weddings there!
•
Summer House in Murphy, just south of
Grants Pass. Lovely grounds, shaded lawn and
plenty of parking highlight this wonderful
country setting. Email Bob and Britt for
information. While you’re there, check out the
pond :)
•
Callahans Mountain Lodge
(www.callahanslodge.com) is southern Oregons’s
premier destination along I-5 at the Mt. Ashland exit for
winter skiing and summer hiking and picnics. Located just
north of the Siskiyou Summit, it is a true mountain get-a-way.
And what a great location for weddings! We have
photographed several weddings there. Check it out, and tell
them Mick’s Photography sent you!
•
Cherie’s River Rendezvous
(www.cheriesriverrendezvous.com) is a delightful
venue on the Applegate River near the town of Murphy.
Spacious lawns, beautiful landscaping and nice
amenities add to the charm of Cherie’s location. This
is what the lower Applegate Valley is all about!
•
Applegate River Lodge
(www.applegateriverlodge.com) is located right
on the Applegate River in the small town of Applegate mid way up the
valley. If a gorgeous setting of lodge and river appeals to you, then this
is your wedding venue! Check it out :)
•
Romantic River Gardens
(www.romanticrivergardens.com) along the
famous and beautiful Umpqua River near Roseburg is
a wonderful garden setting for a wedding. The bride’s
dressing quarters is set just above the ceremony
grounds -- perfect! Well worth the trip north from
Grants Pass, and you will love it!
Are you thinking about a coastal wedding? Here’s a couple of venues for truly unique
wedding events...
Little Log Church is located in the quaint and friendly town of Yachats
on the central Oregon coast. Ask for Mary. She’ll prepare a wedding
ceremony specifically suited to your tastes and expectations. Whether you
get married in the Little Log Church or on a Pacific beach at sunset, this is
one gorgeous setting you will remember for the rest of your life!
Heceta Lighthouse (hecetalighthouse.com) is
the most photographed lighthouse in North America.
There are so many beautiful photographic opportunities
at this location that every single wedding there is a
unique experience. No two are ever alike, and in a very
good way! We have done the photos for countless
weddings at Heceta since 1996!
Hellgate Jetboat Excursions in Grants Pass is a “must
do” for any visit to the Rogue Valley. Over 85,000 guests take
a tour each year. We have personally been on the jet boats
more times than we can remember, and it’s a grand exper-
ience every time! The boat pilots are very personable as well
as knowledgeable. You’ll see wildlife. You’ll get wet! And if
you choose the lunch or dinner trip, you’ll come back very
satisfied... they serve GREAT food at their OK Corral. We’ve
seen bear, elk, bald eagle, deer... what will YOU see?
